The Council's bilateral cultural interactions during September included : continuing prestigious exhibitions both in India ( "Treasures of Indian Art : Germany's Tribute" at the National Museum in New Delhi ) and abroad ( "The Search Within" in Austria ); installation of statues of Mahatma Gandhi at selected venues in Germany and Portugal during the President's tour; exchanges of visits by distinguished artists & scholars; organisation of and participation in international seminars; cultural presentations by empanelled artistes of the Council --- including presentations at the Kyongju World Culture Expo in the Republic of Korea, in , the Babylon Festival in Iraq and the Izmir Festival in Turkey.
The
Retrospectives Series continued with presentations by Kathak danseuse Aditi Mangaldas and the Bhangra/ giddha troupe of Harvinder Singh Bajwa --- at the Kamani Auditorium on the 16th and 17th respectively
The Horizon platform for young artistes featured a Mohiniyattam recital by Pallavi Krishnan and a Kathak recital by Deepak Maharaj at the ICCR's Tagore Hall on Friday, 11th September.

The Council's distinguished guests in India included Sr. Horacio Anibal Rodriguez, Artist from Argentina; Mr Prasanna Vithange, film director from Sri Lanka; Mr Nenad Puhoyski, audio-visual expert from Croatia; ten scholars from Nepal and Bangladesh to participate in the IBBY Congress and Dr Abdelhadi Tazi from Moroccco to attend the ICCR-organised seminar on " Islam in India"
The ICCR facilitated the travel of Indian scholars and artists to several countries for lecture tours and interaction with their counterparts during conferences, exhibitions and international festivals. Destinations included :
